EU Subsidies and Dutch Support Schemes for the Caribbean Netherlands
Entrepreneurs, NGOs, and knowledge institutions on Bonaire, St. Eustatius, and Saba can make use of a wide range of Dutch and European subsidy and financing schemes. These schemes support, among other things, innovation, sustainable energy, climate action, internationalisation, and access to finance.
Many of these programmes are implemented by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). Examples include the Support International Business (SIB) programme, Energy and Climate Innovations (DEI+), Demonstration Projects, Feasibility Studies and Investment Preparation (DHI), SME Credit Guarantee Scheme (BMKB), Corporate Financing Guarantee (GO), and many other instruments.
These programmes are aimed at entrepreneurs, from both start-ups and growing businesses, wishing to internationalise, become more sustainable, or develop innovative technologies. In addition, information is available on EU programmes such as EU4Health and the European Research Council (ERC).
